Special Training

Eligibility of Indian Post office franchise Scheme
If you wish to open a new franchise, you need to submit an application form as prescribed by the Indian post. The franchisee would be required to sign in an MoA(Memorandum of understanding agreement) with the Indian postal department for a certain period of years. These are some of the important criteria
- Should be an Indian citizen and above 18 years
- Should have completed a minimum of 8th standard from a recognized institution.
- Family members serving in the postal department aren't eligible to apply
- Should have a place to operate this operation.

How to Apply for Post office franchise Scheme
The applicant should follow the following procedure to get the franchise
Step 1
You need to take the application from the postal office or you can download from "Click here"
Step 2
The applicant should submit the application in the format prescribed by the postal department along with copies of the detailed proposal including details of the operations of the franchise outlet.
Step 3
If the application gets selected, the applicant should sign in the Memorandum of Agreement with the
Postal department.
Step 4
A detailed report should be submitted on the operations of the franchise
Step 5
The section is done by the Divisional head within 14 days from the date of application.
Income from Post office franchise Scheme
There will be a commission for the sale and services of Indian post products as described by the postal department On becoming a member of Post office franchise, The commission rates are as follows
- 5% commission on the sale of postal stamps, money order forms, and other stationery products.
- Rs.3.5 per money order booked irrespective of the amount
- 20% extra commission on the booking 1000 or more speed post, registered post, or both booked.
- Rs.2 per speed post article booked.
- Rs.2 per registered post article booked.
