BSNL offers Data Only plans for Rs 98 Offers 1.5GB Daily Data for 26 Days
The Indian telecom Gaint BSNL is following the ongoing trend in the Indian telecom industry in prepaid combo plans. With Jio introducing the first combo plan of both Voice and data in a single, soon the rest of the telcos followed and most of the telcos stopped specific plans for Voice and Data only plans. However, Bsnl is still offering data-only prepaid plans, it has recently launched a prepaid plan of Rs 98.
With this BSNL Rs 98 plan, Bsnl is offering 1.5Gb data per day at just Rs 98 per month with a validity of 26 days from the date of recharge. No other telcom provider is providing specific plans for Voice and Data. Jio does offer a similar plan at Rs 98 but bundled with voice calling, data, and SMS benefits.

What is BSNL Rs 98 Prepaid Plan?
This BSNL Rs 98 plan is also called "Data Tsunami" and is one of the cheapest data plans. Similarly, Reliance Jio is also offering a plan Rs 98 and Bharati Airtel also offers a similar plan at Rs 119. But they aren't providing the benefit that Bsnl is providing i.e providing 1.5Gb of data per day making it the most affordable plan at this price point but without any benefit of Voice calling and SMS.

BSNL Rs 98 Plan vs Jio Rs 98 plan
With this BSNL STV 98 plan, there is no doubt that BSNL will be getting the attention of many users, Reliance Jio is also offering an entry-level prepaid plan of Rs 98 with this you will get 2Gb of high-speed data, unlimited voice calls along with 300 SMS for a period of 28 days. And it is to be noted that BSNL is offering at 3G speeds where as Jio is offering at 4G speed.

Bsnl has been trying to get back its surrendered spectrum from the government for some time, And BSNL is also testing its 4G services in major circles like Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, & Telangana circles. Hope BSNL might launch its 4G services soon. And Most likely BSNL might convert these existing 3G traffic plans to 4G plans. Only then BSNL can counter Jio and other Pvt telcom providers in terms of speed and service.
