BSNL Launches Rs 786 Recharge Plan With 30GB Data, Full Talktime

State-owned telecom operator BSNL has announced the launch of its Ramzan and Eid special prepaid recharge plan. The new Rs 786 plan offers 786 talkative, 30 GB of data and comes with a validity of 90 days. The operator is known to release similar plans in the past around festivals.

BNSL customers should note that the plan is only available in select states which are Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat and Kerala. The Rs 786 plan is not available in any other state.

The plan was announced by BSNL Kerala on Twitter on 22 May and all be remain available for 30 days. Users can avail the plan by heading over to the BSNL website, app or use any third-part recharge service like PayTM or GooglePay to recharge their prepaid BSNL account.

The company recently also provided customers with “unlimited “ voice calling and SMS benefits on the MTNL network. The new move is applicable on BSNL prepaid plans starting from 97 rupees. This also aligns with the ongoing merger between BSNL and MTNL that was announced in October 2019.

BSNL is now also offering its users high-speed internet connections in public spaces, like schools, colleges, university campuses, etc. BSNL WiFi Hotspots will be set up in these spaces, which can be accessed only by a BSNL customer. The telco is targeting Varanasi as one of the first places to set up BSNL WiFi.


BSNL's Rs 198 data plan now offers free caller tunes with 2GB of daily data in select circles

State-owned telecom operator, Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has revised its Rs 198 data plan in select circles in India. The plan now offers free caller tunes alongside 2GB of daily data benefits. 

A report by Telecomtalk suggests that BSNL is providing caller tunes under Personalised Ring Back Tone service (PRBT). Subscribers will reportedly be charged Rs 30 as the monthly PRBT subscription cost, in addition to Rs 12 for each song selection.

The plan ships with 2GB of daily high-speed data with speed reduced to 40 Kbps after reaching the set limit. It offers a validity of 54 days and free caller tune service.

It should be noted that the benefits and validity period of the Rs 198 data plan remains unchanged and only the free caller tune service has been added. However, this service is reportedly valid in select circles namely Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Chennai, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh.

Users in Jharkhand, Karnataka, Kerala, Kolkata, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, UP East, UP West, Tripura, Uttarakhand and West Bengal can also subscribe to the plan.

BSNL users in Chandigarh, Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Lakshadweep and Puducherry can also reportedly avail the revised data plan.

While users in Chhattisgarh, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Gujarat, Goa, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra can subscribe to the same data plan at Rs 197.

The free caller tune service with Rs 198 data plan is not valid in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana circles.
